The premier amateur golf circuit for men — zonal championships, national qualifiers, and international selection events.
The IGU Gentlemen Tour is India's premier amateur golf circuit for men. Comprising zonal championships, the All India Amateur Championship, and international selection events, the tour provides a structured competitive pathway from regional golf to national and international representation.
Players compete across four zonal championships — North, South, East, and West — with results feeding into the IGU Order of Merit. Top-ranked players earn selection for international team events including the World Amateur Team Championship, Asian Amateur Championship, and Asian Games. The tour is played under the Rules of Golf as administered by the R&A, with all events carrying World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) points.

Selection for international representation is based on a combination of IGU Order of Merit standings and World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) positions.
Players who consistently perform well across IGU-sanctioned events accumulate merit points throughout the season. The IGU Selection Committee reviews rankings at designated cut-off dates to determine teams for major international events. WAGR rankings provide an additional global benchmark, ensuring India's representatives are competitive on the world stage.
